In autumn 2013, Helma Ferienimmobilien GmbH started developing the “OstseeResort Olpenitz” on a former naval base, with unique location at the Baltic Sea. In addition to about 1.100 units, primarily holiday homes and apartments – partly floating homes – a hotel and holiday park are being developed. Further, a marina and industrial real estates as well as complementary touristic facilities in the segments sport, leisure, entertainment, culture and health/ wellness will be established.
The approximately 175 ha plot was purchased by Helma Ferienimmobilien GmbH in late 2013, after the development firm „Port Olpenitz“ had gone bankrupt. The existing overall planning had to be realigned and now forms the basis of a new holistic resort concept. To ensure extensive synergies between the tourist infrastructures in the region and initiate further development impetus, great importance is attached to the embedding of the resort development in the overall context of the direct surroundings and regional demands.
hcb hospitality competence berlin supported Helma with the fundamental revision of the original master plan concept. Furthermore, hcb assumed consulting and coordinating services with regards to specific touristic tasks during the ongoing project development and initiated holistic development impulses for the destination „Ostsee Fjord Schlei“.
